The foremost mission of USA Musician Obituaries & World Musician Obituaries is preserving the rich legacy of music domestically and internationally. This ambitious endeavor to create a repository for music lovers of all genres to revisit musical contributions from yesteryear and unknown musicians, singers, DJs, and emcees, flows from my unyielding love for music. As a musician, I can think of no better means of making the world a better place and closing political, social, and cultural gaps than communing together over centuries of musical expression created from the Earth's four corners. Music is an artistic expression that serves as a glue that could bring humanity together in an unprecedented way. When we lose musicians/rare treasures it affects the musical community. This site is a life's work and the ultimate gift from one music lover to a world of music lovers.
The idea for USA Musician Obituaries (USAMO) & World Musician Obituaries (WMO) occurred during one of humanity's most trying times, the global pandemic that began in 2020. If the COVID outbreak did nothing else for humanity, it demonstrated that we are all inextricably linked together.
During the global pandemic, the music community was no different from the rest of humanity as death frequently visited our doorstep. Musicians of all types, some we knew personally and others we knew through their work, succumbed to the deadly virus. I am sure you understand that, in any case, a loss of life is still a loss of life regardless of proximity to the unfortunate occurrence.
