Biography:

Nurhan Damcıoğlu (May 1, 1941, Adana – June 5, 2023, İzmir ), ^[1] Turkish canto player , sound artist, theater and film actor. He was born in a family of 9 children. His father owned an open-air cinema. His mother was a tailor in state operas. With the initiative of his mother , he started the children’s department of the General Directorate of State Theaters at the age of 9, and thus he received theater education at a very young age. She took ballet lessons. She worked at the Radio Kids Club for nine years. She played in the State Theater from the age of 16. Meanwhile, she graduated from Ankara Cebeci Secondary School. She came to Istanbul in 1965 with the guidance of Cüneyt Gökçer . She worked with She Istanbul Theatre, Ayfer Feray Theatre, Gülriz Sururi-Engin Cezzar Theatre , Muammer Karaca Theatre, Mücap Ofluoğlu Ensemble. cantoHe first listened to Toto Karaca . With the encouragement of Mücap Ofluoğlu, he sang canto for the first time in 1969. He then left the theater completely and devoted himself entirely to the canto. Thus, she became Turkey’s first female Muslim canto dancer. ^[3]

After that, he started to appear on the stage at Maksim Casino . Here he had the opportunity to work with names such as Zeki Müren , Sevim Tuna and Behiye Aksoy . After the September 12 Coup, he became one of the names stuck in control. With the emergence of private channels in the nineties, he had the opportunity to work in television again.

She had a short marriage with Ercan Yenseni. Later, she made her second marriage with the theater actor Attila Olgaç and stayed married for 10 years. In an interview, she said that she rejected Ferhan Şensoy ‘s marriage proposal. ^[4]

Death 

He died on June 5, 2023 in Karşıyaka district of İzmir due to heart failure . ^[5] [6]
