Biography:
Nicole Gaugh
Reno – Beloved daughter, Nicole Gaugh, age 38, resided in Reno, passed away in Reno June 3, 2021.
Nicole was twelve when she started to teach herself the guitar.
Although the Beatles were her favorite band she was inspired by Johnny Rivers and other musicians. She loved sixties music and often said she was born too late because she loved that era.
Nicole left her home in Pennsylvania to attend The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science, in Tempe AR.
Upon returning to Pennsylvania she procured a job with Music Choice. She was promoted to Marketing Coordinator with Music Choice in Manhattan NY. However, Nicole’s heart was in Reno and she returned and worked at the family business.
Not long after moving back to Reno Nicole met and married her future husband. They had three beautiful children. Chloe Sue, Buddy James, and Jackson Elijah.
Nicole volunteered to teach music at the Note-Ables, which offers music services therapy. She talked about how happy her students would be when they could play something.
She also found older people to be quite entertaining. Her favorite older person is her adopted grandma, Irene Peterson. They both loved ‘The Golden Girls’, and would sit on Irene’s bed, watch the show, laugh, and talk for hours.
Nicole also enjoyed helping her cousin Ciera Barlow with the Cinderella Pageant. They had a special relationship.
Since music was so important to her, Nicole wanted to entertain with music and she did. She also loved singing to her children. She had a beautiful voice and we have lovely memories of her singing to the children, sometimes playing the guitar while singing.
