Career

Jaafar Onn set foot in the city of Kuala Lumpur in the 70s when he joined a dance group that was so famous on TV at that time. At the same time, with his talent for cooking and cooking, Jaafar Onn taught PERKEP mothers at Jalan Pekeliling. The Mi Bandung recipe that he taught has opened up a wide space for him to continue to be active as a teacher after that.

In 1973, Jaafar Onn was invited by RTM to participate in a cooking show called ‘Dunia Wanita’ hosted by Datin Paduka Zaleha Ismail. Starting from there, Jaafar Onn’s name is known to many as a cook. Because of his deep talent in the field of cooking, Jaafar Onn never gets tired of participating in short courses provided by private companies. Jaafar participated in a course on making biscuits, how to decorate cakes and puddings. Don’t forget to also participate in western and eastern cooking courses. Also participated in a course in making kuih nyonya and Indian cuisine.

Going into the 80s, Jaafar Onn was often invited to cook in magazines and did not miss cooking demos in shopping complexes. But after that, Jaafar Onn’s artistic talent was known not only as a cook but also as a singer and actor. Datin Rosnani Jamil has brought him to the world of acting in his first telefilm of his acting entitled Lagenda Lela Manja. Starting from there, Jaafar Onn continued to be invited to star in many dramas and movies.

Libra star Jaafar Onn also loves the world of dance and has his own dance group. Maya Studio performed a lot at dinner parties and television shows around the 80s and 90s. 10 years later, he continued to shift his direction to the field of singing with the help of singers Salwa Abdul Rahman , Rohana Jalil , Azie, Lina Kamsan and several other artist friends. Jaafar Onn has also made an album and there is no denying that he has his own fans.

Private

He is from Muar, Johor. Received his early education at Abdullah Sungai Mati Primary School, Muar. And then continued his studies at St. Andrew Saleh Street Muar.

Is the third child of three siblings. This spoiled youngest child is very close to his mother Puan Basahriah Sidin. Often follows his mother to weddings or getong royong car parties. And this is where Jaafar Onn became interested in cooking and decorating the throne as well as flower arrangements. [2]
