Biography:

Güllü , or Gül Tut with her real name (15 October 1973, Kasımpaşa – 26 September 2025, Çınarcık ), was a Turkish fantasy and arabesque music singer of Gypsy origin .

His life and career

Güllü was born on October 15, 1973, in the Kasımpaşa district of Beyoğlu, Istanbul. [ 1 ] She began her musical career by singing in nightclubs at a young age . [ 2 ] [ 3 ] In 1988, at the age of 15, she performed in wedding halls. As she was not able to work in nightclubs due to her young age, she continued her education for a while. [ 1 ] However, due to her family’s financial situation, she left school and continued her singing career. [ 1 ]

In the 1990s, she became known as “Kasımpaşalı Güllü” (Güllü from Kasımpaşa). She made a name for herself with her Romani melodies and the albums she released. [ 4 ] After her marriage, she took a break from performing for a while. She had two children. After her divorce in 2000, she returned to her music career.

In 2008, he was hospitalized in Kartal Yakacık after falling into an alcoholic coma and was discharged after treatment. [ 5 ]

Death

He died after falling from the terrace of his house in the Çınarcık district of Yalova on September 26, 2025. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] In a statement made by the Yalova Governor’s Office, it was stated that an investigation was launched into Güllü’s death. [ 8 ]
