DJ Hazel , real name Michał Orzechowski , aka Najszybsze Ręce Europy (born July 1, 1980 in Warsaw , died May 7 , 2025 in Skępe [ 1 ] ) – Polish DJ and music producer .

Musical activity

He graduated from, among others, the Grażyna Bacewicz State Secondary School of Music in Warsaw, where he learned to play the keyboard , piano and clarinet .

He began his career in June 1998 [ 2 ] , mixing tracks. He played in Warsaw clubs, and after 3 months he won the Polish DMC championship in the “dance mixing” category. From that moment on, he began working with Pioneer Polska and became a member of the Pioneer DJ’s Team – a group of people presenting and testing equipment of this brand.

In 1999 he repeated his success by winning the title of Master DJ DMC.

In 2001, he took part in the European DJ Championships in Germany, winning the title of runner-up out of 80 participants [ 3 ] . He was a member of the MDT agency ( Manieczki DJs Team ) from its inception until 2004.

In 2004–2005 he was a resident of the “Ekwador Manieczki Club “, and from April 16, 2006 an exclusive resident of the “Omen Club Płośnica ” [ 4 ] .

He played mainly in the following styles: house , electro house , progressive house , trance , hard trance , hardstyle , techno [ 5 ] .

He played for both Polish and foreign clubs in the United Kingdom , the Netherlands , Ireland , Turkey , Germany , the United States , Switzerland , China , Sweden and Belgium .

He performed at: Amsterdam Dance Mission , Sunrise with Ecuador , Viva Beach Party Sopot , Freedom Parade , ATB in Concert , Terminal Summer Beat , Independence , Sunshine Music Factory , Tunnel Electrocity .

He has played with the following celebrities: DJ Tonka , Mark van Linden , Randy Katana , DJ Pablo , Andain , Marcel Woods , Peran van Dijk , Jordan & Baker , DJ Jean , The Matrix , Rank 1 , DJ Shog , Ron van den Beuken , Carlo Resoort , 4 Strings , ATB , Alex MORPH , Blank & Jones , Danzel , E-Craig , Benny Benassi , Nenes , Sam Sharp , Warmdusher , Kosmonova , Steve Castro , Johan Gielen , Aquagen , Starsplash , Jan Wayne , Nu-NRG , Woody van Eyden , Brooklyn Bounce , Voodoo & Serano , DJ Tiësto , WestBam , Marco V , Antoine Clamaran , and Armand van Helden .

Together with his older brother, DJ Drum, he took part in live performances, during which DJ Drum played the drums and DJ Hazel played the keyboard and operated the DJ console [ 6 ] .

He won the Dance Music Awards 2013 in the Polska Club DJ category [ 7 ] . In December 2011, he released his first song: DJ Hazel – I love Poland .

In June 2012, he released his second song, DJ Hazel feat. Lunar – Give me the stars , for which a music video was recorded. In 2013, together with KRI5WELL, he released the following mashup songs : We are the reborn twist pogo , Viva till I come , Waiting for lion , Jump kernkraft 400 and Junkie anthem . A music video was made for the song Viva till I come . In March 2014, his song I love Poland was played during the Ski Jumping World Cup competition in Oslo [ 8 ] .

In 2014 he also performed at the farewell party of Klub Ekwador Manieczki . In 2014, together with Qlpa, he released a song titled Let’s do this , and together with Demian a song titled B!TCH!. Music videos were recorded for both of these songs. In 2015, he again created in the mashup style – with KRI5WELL a song titled We will rock you , with Qlpa titled F*cking picture , again with KRISWELL titled Julas and Floorfilla – Anthem 4 drop . Then he created a remix of the song Rico Bernasconi & Tuklan feat. A Class & Sean Paul – Ebony eyes .

Also in 2015, he signed a contract with Ultra Records and joined Ultra Music. The agreement includes the release of one of DJ Hazel’s previous productions, another 3 singles and an album. Ultra Records committed to the release, promotion, production of music videos and promotion of the artist on the world stage [ 9 ] . The first song released on Ultra Music was the song titled I love Poland , for which a music video was recorded [ 10 ] [ 11 ] .

In 2016, he released the song Get down with Adrima , and then Sunshine on his own .

In 2017, he released a bootleg of Faithless – Insomnia with CJ Stone . This was followed by DJ Hazel & Bueno Clinic feat. DiMi Marc – The way you glow , which was also remixed by CJ Stone and Adrima, and then with Adrima he released Let me hear the DJ .

In 2017, he performed at the XXIII Przystanek Woodstock in Kostrzyn nad Odrą with the Pawbeats Orchestra as part of the Night Academy of the Most Beautiful Arts [ 12 ] [ 13 ] . He was sometimes associated with mocking lyrics, poems and stories uttered during some of his performances, including the titles “Take a pill”, “Legend of yellow cheese”, “Because the most important thing is!!!” etc. This is partly related to the phenomenon of wiki [ 14 ] .

Other activities

He earned his master’s degree in “tourism economy” at the Warsaw School of Economics . Since 2005, he has been running his own business, being the owner of the Bud-Net company [ 15 ] , under which he has been running Zajazd Mihałufka in Skępe since 2008 [ 16 ] [ 17 ] . He was also a partner in the Ego Partner sc company running the Face Club in Warsaw (opened in 2012, closed in 2016) and the Media Partner sc company running the Explosion Club in Borkowo Kościelny (opened in 2014) [ 18 ] .

Death

On May 7, 2025, he was found dead in a car near a lake in Skępe [ 1 ] .
