Among his compositions for the band are: “Cancheros,” written with Ciro for Chactuchac (1992); “Te diría,” whose lyrics he co-wrote with Ciro for Ay ay ay (1994); and the songs “Desde lejos no se vé” and “Buenos tiempos,” which he co-wrote with Ciro and Kupinski for the album Azul (1998). The last album he participated in with the band was Ritual (1999), a collection of live performances. In 2000, after a fight with Kupinski, [ 2 ] [ 3 ] he left the band. Three years after his departure, Los Piojos included an old song composed with Buira prior to his leaving, “Motumbo”, on the album Máquina de sangre (2003).

In addition to teaching, he served as the drum director for the school’s band, which has released five albums: Percusión (1998), Viejos Dioses (2001), Muñequitos del tambor (2004), Raíces (2007), and Banda Fantasma (2010). He served as the drummer for Vicentico ‘s solo project . [ 4 ] Buira also formed a band with musician friends, called No Bailo , which fuses rock with percussion.
